Main scientific achievements For the first time the age-related role for glutamate, aspartate and gamma-aminobutyric acid in the transformation of visual pulses at different stages of ontogenesis of neurons in normal conditions as well as under abnormalities in the analyzers was shown. Under these conditions, the role of neurotransmitters such as glutamate, aspartate, gamma-aminobutyric acid, serotonin, norepinephrine in the transmission of sensory information and in restoration of plasticity of analyzers was first demonstrated. Theoretical basis of using the possibility of recovery of the nervous system in the clinic was comprehensively studied.

The role for glutamate, aspartate, gamma-aminobutyric acid, serotonin, norepinephrine, and enzymes involved in their metabolism at the cellular level at various stages of ontogenesis in various brain structures under hypoxia and fasting animals was investigated.

At different stages of brain evolution such as sturgeon fish, the role for glutamate, aspartate, gamma-aminobutyric acid, biogenic amines in the formation of synapses neurospecific proteins in the early postnatal ontogenesis has been studied and on scientific grounds has been identified the time of release of these fish to the sea into the hatchery.
